Summer Song Austin. A beautiful and unusual rose with unfading blooms shaded burnt orange. The fully cupped blooms open from fat rounded buds and have a plentiful supply of petals. Looks good with apricots and yellows and will certainly demand attention. Strong fruity fragrance. You'll have to find a space for this one. PVR. 2005.

Windermere Austin. This is a beautiful rose that looks good enough to serve up with dessert. The large, full, quartered blooms consist of over 80 frilly petals that look like whipped cream when fully open. Strong fruity fragrance. Free flowering and a nice compact habit. 2007. PVR.

Strawberry Hill Austin. Cupped, double, full flowers that are described by Austin roses as "beautiful at all stages". The blooms are shaded a warm shade of rose pink and are very fragrant. Glossy green disease resistant foliage and of course the rose repeats well. Multi award winner including the Prix d' Honneur for fragrance. PVR. 2007.

Lady of Megginch Austin. Large, fullly cupped rosettes with outer petals that recurve back slightly. Shaded a rich deep pink and deliciously fruity fragrant with a hint of raspberry. Named for the late Baroness Strange who lived in Megginch Castle, Scotland. A good woman and a good rose. PVR. 2006.

Lichfield Angel Austin. This angel of a rose has clouds of soft creamy apricot blooms that gently fade to white. A really beautiful rose that is generous with bloom and has a vigorous, disease resistant, informal, growth habit. Named for a recently discovered artefact from Lichfield Cathedral. Canterbury Austin. This was one of David Austin's first roses released way back in 1969. Pretty, pink semi-double blooms with a pleasant fragrance. Repeats throughout the season. One for the collector as this was at the beginning of the remarkable Austin rose story.

William Shakespeare Austin. This form of 'William Shakespeare' was introduced in 1987 and has outstanding cupped flowers with an old world charm. The flowers are crimson at first and fade to purple as they age. Lovely fragrance and nice upright habit. Worthy of a sonnet or two. PVR.

Claire Austin Austin. Described by David Austin as "their finest white rose to date" and appropriately named after his daughter Claire. Buds of pale lemon open to large white blooms with petals arranged in concentric circules. The plentiful blooms are very fragrant. Excellent disease resistance. PVR. 2011.

Munstead Wood Austin. The light crimson buds open to reveal large, deep velvet crimson blooms that are beautifully fragrant. The blooms are double, full and cupped and can only be described as 'yum'. Repeats well and shows good disease resistance. PVR. 2010.

Princess Alexandra of Kent Austin. Large, double and full blooms of glowing pink with an outer rim of paler pink petals. Strongly fragrant with just a hint of lemon as the blooms fades. Good disease resistance and plenty of blooms throughout the season. Certainly fit for a Princess. PVR. 2011.

Skylark Austin. A semi-double rose with deep pink blooms that are open, cupped and very fragrant. The deep pink colour gradually fades to a soft lilac pink as the blooms age. Repeats well. Named by Sister Elizabeth who heard a Skylark sing on a visit to the Austin nursery. Sweet Tweet. PVR 2011.

Cymbeline Austin. An upright shrub rose with a slightly arching habit. Sturdy stems of mid green foliage and summer blooms in a delicate light pink shade. The blooms are loosely cupped and powerfully fragrant. Shows good disease resistance and is generally low maintenance and hardy. PVR. 1982.
